Nov 1 | Filed By: Save Passamaquoddy Bay Summary: Save Passamaquoddy Bay documents Downeast LNG mocking FERC permitting. |
Nov 18 | Issued By: ENERGY PROJECTS, OFFICE OF [FERC] Summary: FERC indicates that they will reschedule the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) once the USDOT Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Administration (PHMSA) has completed evaluation of Downeast LNG's revised design spill modeling that was submitted on 2013 Sep 27. Filed By: Save Passamaquoddy Bay Summary: FERC is not living up to its testimony to Congress re expeditious permitting; plus, FERC is complicit in State Department "innocent passage" fraud. FERC's only choice is to dismiss Downeast LNG. |
Nov 25 | Filed By: Save Passamaquoddy Bay Summary: Natural gas production in the Northeast is so prolific, Maine has been exporting compressed natural gas (CNG) to Canada via Calais, and the Northeast has been a net natural gas exporter to Canada at times this year. Northeast natural gas production has increased 586% since 2008, and natural gas imports from Canada into the Northeast have fallen 82%. There is no reason to import LNG from overseas when the US and Northeast have such an abundant domestic resource supply. |
Nov 26 | Filed By: Save Passamaquoddy Bay Summary: Downeast LNG president Dean Girdis admits to his project's lack of economic viability, and to the need for a pipeline to deliver natural gas from the Marcellus to New England and Maine — essentially admitting to his project having no public interest. |
