Description: Comments of Paul R. Strickland re the proposed Downeast LNG Export Project under PF14-19.

Filed By: Save Passamaquoddy Bay
Filed Date: 11/17/2014
Accession No: 20141117-5026
Description: FERC NOI and Scoping Meeting proposed project area comment of Save Passamaquoddy Bay under PF14-19.
Information: FILE LIST

Summary: FERC has once again violated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as well as the public trust. FERC's NOI (Notice of Intent to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement) re the proposed Downeast LNG Export Project, and notice of the FERC Scoping Period, intentionally omits in its project area map the 4,000-foot-long trestle and pier. In doing so, FERC has exhibited its prejudice in favor of the proposed project by "minimizing" the apparent impact, while simultaneously withholding critical information from public stakeholders.
